Reviews
Great hotel in an amazing setting.
Rooms are lovely, spacious and comfortable.
Highly recommend this hotel if you are driving in Italy.
Lots of dining options in the nearby towns if you do not want to eat in house every night.
The room, the scene, the building are blended in very well. However, the infrastructure of the SPA is bit disappointed. Multiple facilities os closed. The locker room feels like a public swimming pool. From the outside, they create a good vibe, but from the inside, it just lack of design to enhance the "relaxing feeling"
Went to this place last June and it was lovely. Very peaceful and tranquil. Hotel manager gave us an upgrade and room was really nice. Would definitely go back.
This is a beautiful quiet resort and we enjoyed our stay here very much. The outdoor pool and spa was wonderful and the staff were all very professional. The food was top notch, whether it be lunch which is served under the olive trees, dinner in the events space. Do ensure you make a reservation in La Locanda Del Borgo, the Michelin star restaurant which is a very special tasting menu experience we enjoyed very much.
Sadly I couldn't give a five star review because of a couple of things, firstly the bar drinks were very expensive and secondly the bathroom in our Superior room (444) was very dark to the point that you couldn't really see to shave - there needs to be better lighting around the mirror, and there was no shelf space to keep your toiletries in the bathroom. We had to keep things in the bedroom and keep remembering to take things back and forward between the bedroom and bathroom which was an irritation.
I’m writing an honest review of the Aqua Petra resort having seen it in the television in the UK. The hotel is in a beautiful location and the rooms are to a good standard, staff are very helpful and friendly ( although the dinning staff are more formal friendly than relaxed I would say) the general staff are very friendly however. Restaurant is to a good standard and breakfast is very good! I think to give a 5 star review I would like a more reasonable bar daytime menu that’s more reasonably priced too, only three items available at around 26€ each, the toasted sandwich states it comes with French fries, these are infact potatoes crisps….to me French fries are fries or chips as we call them in the UK. Spa was good although it could be a little cleaner too. Overall I would say it’s a 3.8 star resort in a 4.5 star location.
This place is fantastic--spas, pools and lots of food choices-- but it's completely isolated. Be prepared to drive a bit for anything you need. We were on a tour bus so we were unable to do anything by ourselves easily.
They were great however when one of our group became ill with Covid, and wound up staying there for nearly 2 weeks! They even helped her get a car to drive her all the way to Naples, a very long journey.
Fantastic oasis in the middle of the mountains. Beautiful architecture with amazing Spa amenities. The rooms were gorgeous and the food at the restaurant was literally the best Italian I've eaten after living in the country for almost three years! The staff was cordial and many spoke English. Highly recommend on all accounts!
We spent a week here in early August and it was divine. The standard of service from all the wonderful staff is excuisite, from dining under the olive trees in the evening to the amazing breakfast in the morning, swimming in the beautiful pool, the extremely comfortable beds and all the stylish surroundings, we felt so relaxed and spoiled. If there is anything you think the Manager Enriquo and Food and Beverage Manager Pietro haven't covered, believe me it's in hand. This place is special. If you want a break from everything I highly recommend staying here. If you want to explore and use here as a base I recommend you hire a car. One thing is for sure we cannot wait to return.
